Hello everyone. My name is Yoshinari Kowata, and I am the president of Crafort Co.,Ltd.
As a Shodo (Traditional Japanese Calligraphy) artist, I have expressed deep emotions and thoughts that come from the core of the heart through the traditional Japanese art of Shodo. Shodo is not just the act of writing characters; it is a “path” where each stroke embodies the soul and allows one to face oneself. I have merged Shodo with “Luck Enhancing Calligraphy”, a technique derived from graphology, to create what I call the “Fortune-Blessing Japanese Shodo Technique”. My goal is not only to preserve this beautiful culture that Japan is so proud of, but also to share it with the world in new and innovative ways.
I believe that art is not something that only artists can create. Everyone has their own sense of ‘beauty’ or ‘preference’ and all art exists within that realm. However, there may be those who have yet to recognise the art that lies within themselves. Beauty is universally present and equal for all. The joy of creating that beauty with one’s own hands is unparalleled and unforgettable – it is a source of profound inspiration and fulfilment.
